Исследователям удалось разработать вакцину от акне


Акне — одно из самых распространенных заболеваний кожи. Оно связано с закупоркой пор кожным салом и мертвыми клетками кожи. Важную роль в развитии заболевания играют бактерии Propionibacterium acnes. Однако они не только являются возбудителями акне, но и выполняют полезные функции.

Специалисты из Университета Калифорнии нашли антитела к токсичным белкам, вырабатываемым Propionibacterium acnes. Эти белки вызывают воспаление, приводящее к акне. После ученые разработали вакцину, предотвращающую акне без ущерба для Propionibacterium acnes.

Исследователи уже провели эксперименты с образцами кожи пациентов, страдающих от акне. Специалисты получили обнадеживающие результаты. Следующим шагом будут клинические испытания. Ученые надеются, что вакцинацию совсем скоро можно будет проводить людям.
